Our client is a globally leading software manufacturer for the AEC industry, they develops and distributes holistic technical construction and building management software solutions for architects and construction companies ranging from small to major construction groups.
The company is currently looking for a Senior Product Manager based in Karlsruhe who will help to define the roadmap and the strategy of a brand new ERP solution in integration with Dynamics 365 Business Central.
In the position, the candidate will have the possibility to experience all aspects of the product management and development of a brand new cloud and cutting-edge software product and the relevant go to market strategy. The position offers the opportunity to work on the product placement strategy, the product execution fields and expand the product on an international level too.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion the product plan, releases and success in the market, support local teams to succeed in reaching their commercial outcomes with the new solution
- Drive the overall product plan, engage relevant stakeholders
- Perform various market research activities to identify business and market challenges.

- Support the product strategy and tailor it to a new, 100% cloud solution.
- Manage the product across its entire lifecycle from product definition, creation and release.
- Develop user stories and requirements while evaluating their potential and practicality by analysing market and customer needs.
- Develop a tailor-made approach based on the need of the business stakeholder and the goals and priorities of the company when coordinating all the development activity related to the product.
- Supervise the product and align the final result to the requirements given, as well as to both the business needs and the technical requirements, while actively proposing different approaches to satisfy the design requirements.
- Actively take part in the end-to-end product design process in order to ensure that both business and users needs are met in the best possible way.
- Team up with the marketing, sales, service and consulting departments during each phase of product positioning, training courses, demo design etc. to ensure the achievement of the business’ goals.
Relevant Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or Masters in Information Management, Computer Science or Business Administration preferred.
- 5-10 Years of work experience in Product Management (Product Evangelist) preferably in ERP software related to the Construction Industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Microsoft Navision.
- Experience with Cloud Software Solutions; Microsoft Azure is a plus.
- Knowledge of the requirements / regulations of the Construction Industry in Germany / DACH region.
- Experience in the development of products that meet users’ requirements.
- Proactive and enthusiastic way of working, with suggestions for improvement with clients, Sales, Marketing and development team.
- In-depth knowledge of PC, business, and project planning software, as well as of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Outstanding research skills and willingness to keep track of evolving marketing trends and dynamics.
- Demonstrated experience in critical marketing competencies: Customer/market knowledge and strategic planning, and business case development required.
- Discernment to prioritize requirements based on client and business needs.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic business capabilities are required.
- Outstanding communication skills, written and oral.
- Deep collaborative and teaming abilities as well as charisma and skills in cross-discipline cooperation.
- Fluency in both English and German
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Pivot Tables, Project) and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Eagerness to learn and to develop on an international level.
